Ever wonder how you could make the transition from classical to popular music with the violin? Then this class is for you!

35+ year symphonic veteran and prize-winning fiddler Robin Kearton will discuss essential elements of learning by ear, bowing styles, left-hand techniques, creating variations on a tune, and jam etiquette.

Repertoire will be drawn largely from old-time dance music, with some exploration of Celtic and Bluegrass styles.

This class is for people who are already comfortable playing violin, know several tunes in different keys and have the ability to play song melodies at regular singing speed.
