Chrissy Sparks-Rigsby has been playing and teaching piano for decades, and is experienced in many styles including classical, jazz, ragtime, country and gospel.  Equally comfortable reading music and playing by ear, she can easily accommodate different learning styles and challenge students to expand their skill sets. Music theory and ear training are also among her strengths, as well as accompanying instrumentalists and vocalists.

Her playing experience is varied, and includes serving as church pianist and performing with dozens of local bands and as a solo pianist/vocalist. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Millikin University, and has been teaching elementary music for over twenty years in area public schools.  Each year she is part of a Dueling Piano act on The Country Music Cruise, giving her the opportunity to play with many well known artists.
