Cheng Tang, a native of Taiwan, began playing the piano at the age of five and was recognized as an Outstanding Musician by the Taishin Art Foundation in Taiwan.
She earned her master’s degree at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the guidance of Professor Edward Auer.
She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, studying with Dr. Chi-Chen Wu. Cheng also serves as a teaching assistant in collaborative piano. Her performances have included solo and chamber music appearances in both Asia and the United States.
