Born in South Korea, Chanmi “Sarah” Lee started her piano study at the age of four.

Sarah is an enthusiastic musician! In addition to solo performance she enjoys collaborative works,  chamber music, and accompanying. 

She is a founding member of The Goodwin Avenue Trio, featured by International Clarinet Association, and performs with the Illinois Modern Ensemble.

Currently, Sarah is pursuing a Doctoral of the Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the studio of Dr. Timothy Ehlen. She holds a Master’s degree from UIUC and a Bachelor of Music degree from Seoul National University, where she received summa cum laude.
