Rob Krumm

Rob is not currently teaching but he is on call to share his ideas and experience with our staff.

Rob teaches group guitar classes at C4A, and he created the popular Guitar From Scratch class.  Rob plays guitar, electric bass and upright bass; and he’s been playing Cajun accordion for the last few years. Rob plays with fiddler Dennis Stroughmatt as part of two bands, Creole Stomp and L’Esprit Creole.  From classrooms to major festivals, both bands tour regularly and play all over the U.S.

In recent years, Rob has performed at venues spanning the country from New York to Louisiana. Venues include the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Old Songs Festival, Festival International and Festivals Acadiens, Rhythm and Roots Festival, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, CU Folk and Roots Festival and more.  Rob is well-versed in blues, western swing, traditional country, folk music and roots rock and he is a big fan of Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music.  He loves to lay down a strong rhythmic foundation for whatever music he’s playing.  He believes that there is a guitar player inside of everyone, and he’ll work with you to develop and improve your guitar skills.
