Jeff Magby is well-known to local audiences as the drummer for The Imapalas, the Virtues, the Craig Russo Latin Jazz Project, and others.
He holds degrees in percussion performance from Eastern Illinois University (BA) and the University of Illinois (MFA), and is fluent in jazz, rock, salsa, steel band, and orchestral percussion, including mallets. He an experienced teacher with over 20 years experience with students at all ages and levels. He teaches drum set and hand percussion.
