Cretaceous Band

A neighborhood community band for amateur musicians who have always wanted to play with others in a friendly atmosphere. All instruments welcome, no ensemble experience necessary.  Repertoire includes fiddle tunes, tangos, Peruvian dances, Zappa, and more.

This is a teaching and rehearsing ensemble for beginning to intermediate level players: you should already be able to play your instrument at least a little, and be prepared to be over your head sometimes  You don’t have to read music notes. We have charts with guitar chords available for most tunes. The focus is on playing, learning, and having fun. Bring your guitar, clarinet, accordion, trombone, panflute, horn, hurdy-gurdy…
