We’re back for more at the Taste of Champaign! Head over to the family tent to catch a concert by the Bow-Dacious String Band. We’ll play a set of our favorite tunes including traditional dance music, international folk music, and more! This performance is free to the public.

Come on over for a free performance by the Bow-Dacious String Band! We’ll play a mix of traditional dance music, charming waltzes, international folk music and more. Your young ones can sing & dance along!
Our shows are super kid-friendly and sure to charm older hearts as well.
A Day In The Park
City Park – Farmer City, IL
A Day in the Park is a community event being held in Farmer City as part of the celebration of the town’s 175th birthday. The event is being held in the city park, which is in the town’s main square. There are activities throughout the day, starting at 11:00 am. Bow-Dacious is scheduled to play for an hour starting at 3:00 pm, and Cretaceous is scheduled at 4:00 pm, also for an hour.
There will be opportunities for jamming with local musicians afterwards, so anyone interested is encouraged to stay around. If you come early, the Tree Thump Didjeridu Company will give a 30-45 minute didjeridu performance /demonstration at 2:00 pm. If you stay after the C4A performances, the will be a discussion and display by Dave Monk, A.K.A. The Prairie Monk who has a broadcast on WEFT Sunday Mornings at 11:00 am.
Bow-Dacious at Urbana Country Dancers
Phillips Recreation Center – Urbana
Campers from the Bow-Dacious Summer Family Camp will perform for a family dance from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. This is a perfect place for families and beginning dancers. The dances are taught so you don’t have to know what to do in order to have fun!
The camp faculty will be the house band for the regular dance from 8:00 to 11:00PM. Dances are taught and experienced dancers are always glad to help new folks get the hang of it.
