Scary Music!!!

Phantom organCome to the C4A this Halloween for some SCARY MUSIC! The Community Center for the Arts is delighted to invite you to this first-time event featuring the eerie sounds of the theremin (and synthesizer?) and fun scary sounds you can make on acoustic instruments too.

Our teachers will offer free workshops to introduce you to electronic music (including how to play a theramin) and guide you as you explore uncharted soundscapes with free improvisation around our scary noises theme. This event is suitable for all ages. Wear a costume or come as you are. There is no admission fee; donations will be accepted.

Place: Community Center for the Arts

Date: October 31st, Halloween Night!

Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

No Cover, Voluntary Donations Appreciated!

Snow Days?

  • If public schools are closed due to inclement weather or other emergency situations, C4A teachers have the option to hold their lessons or classes if they deem conditions safe.
  • If your teacher opts to give lessons on a day schools are closed for extreme conditions but you do not feel that it is safe for you to travel from your location to C4A, you should contact your teacher individually to let him or her know you will not be attending the lesson that day. You will not be billed for the missed lesson.
  • You should contact your teacher directly to find out if they are planning to teach or tell them you can’t make it to your lesson. Please do not leave a message on the C4A answering machine–your teacher may not get your message in time.
  • To learn more about C4A’s absence and makeup policies please read here.
