C4A Noise Ensemble

The Noise Music Ensemble aims to expand participants’ musical experiences, listening and imagination. We will explore the range and depth of noise and sound through electronic, acoustic, found and human instruments.

Guest artists may be brought in to rehearsals to share their expertise with us. Current and historical practices will be explored with theoretical and philosophical underpinning as well as modern thought.

The sound of the group and development depends largely on the interests of the ensemble members, experience and openness to experimentation. Real-world application includes socially safe live performances with the potential for collaboration with visual and dance artists.
