Chris Reyman: Piano, Accordion, Jazz Combos, and Music Production/Music Outreach coordinator
Pianist and composer Chris Reyman began freelancing regularly in Central Illinois when he was attending high school in Decatur, Illinois. He has been performing in the Champaign-Urbana area for the past six years while receiving his Master’s degree and working toward his Doctorate at the University of Illinois. He has performed as a side-man with many local groups as well as leading his own groups. Some of his performing credits include performances with David “Fathead” Newman, Jim Pugh, Chip McNeill, Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. His compositions have been performed by the University of Illinois Concert Jazz Band, the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra, the Millikin University Jazz Band, the University of Illinois East-West Gamelan Ensemble and the Austin Wind Symphony. He recently completed a commission for the United Stated Air Force premier jazz ensemble the Airmen of Note.
