MUSIC THEORY FROM A TO G is a crash course in music theory for absolute beginners, regardless of playing ability.  This class does not require music reading!  If you know the alphabet from A to G and can count to 12 you have all the information you need to get started.

We’ll start from ground zero with the basic building blocks of the Western European musical system. Over the course of six weeks we’ll work our way through major and minor scales, intervals, chords, chord inversions, modes, and keys (including basic Common Practice Functional Harmony and Roman Numeral analysis).

Great for players with no theory background or people looking to fill in the gaps in their fundamental knowledge of music theory.  Instrumental/vocal ability recommended but not required.
